Description
**$10,000 sign-on bonus potential for experienced Physical Therapists!** Available to candidates with at least one year of experience Must commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week Not available to current MaineGeneral employees or former employees separated for less than one year
OR
**An early acceptance incentive of $4,000 awaits qualified new graduate Physical Therapists** Candidates are encouraged to apply at least 6 weeks before their graduation date; however, some exceptions may be made based on program needs and timing. Offer letters should be signed within 1 week of receipt. The incentive is paid in full in your first paycheck as a Physical Therapist.
What You’ll Do:
Perform initial and ongoing assessments of pediatric patients to evaluate functional abilities and therapy needs
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using appropriate therapeutic interventions
Document subjective, objective, assessment findings, and patient progress clearly and accurately
Educate and support patients and families/caregivers, promoting carryover of therapy goals into daily life
Plan and assist with discharge from therapy services, including recommendations for adaptive equipment and community support programs
Supervise and delegate care provided Physical Therapy Assistants in accordance with state regulations and practice standards
Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary pediatric care team to support coordinated, family-centered care
Some employees in this job may operate a motor vehicle to conduct MaineGeneral Health business

Requirements
What You'll Need:
Current Physical Therapist license (or eligibility) in the state of Maine
Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
Experience or strong interest in pediatric rehabilitation (new graduates encouraged to apply)
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a family-centered approach to care
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
