Graceland University seeks a program director/faculty member for our new Doctor of Physical Therapy program delivered in an accelerated hybrid education format.

It is home to Graceland’s School of Nursing and Community of Christ Seminary, and is the future home for our new accelerated hybrid education Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Program Director for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program provides administrative oversight and supervision of all aspects of the degree and emphases. The Director is responsible for establishing initial and continued program accreditation; managing program and course outcomes; developing and maintaining a contemporary and evidence-informed curriculum; hiring, training, and supervising a qualified faculty; overseeing the professional and academic development of students; and managing student issues related to the degree program. The Director is also responsible for the implementation and management of the program effectiveness plan; ensuring courses, faculty, and students meet program expectations, goals, and outcomes; fulfilling all regulatory requirements; fulfilling all strategic goals; building partnerships with an online program management (OPM) entity and other colleges and universities; developing innovative community and clinical partnerships; and working toward continuous quality improvement in everything they do. As a faculty member, additional responsibilities will include hybrid instruction, advising, scholarly activity, and committee involvement.
Position Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a terminal academic doctorate degree (e.g., PhD, DSc, EdD) in or directly related to physical therapy, a minimum of 6 years of full-time higher education experience, a minimum of 3 years of full-time experience as a core faculty member in a CAPTE accredited entry-level physical therapist education program, and a physical therapist with an active unrestricted license in Missouri and/or their state of residence.
As a hybrid education program, the program director and faculty may live and work remote to the Graceland University campus. The program director will be required to travel to Graceland's campus in Independence, Missouri for onsite lab immersion instruction and program administrative responsibilities.
