Company Overview

Theraplay, Inc. was founded in 1991 by pediatric physical therapist Lisa Mackell. Believing that children learn and develop best through play experiences, we provide individualized therapy services in a play-focused environment. Today, Theraplay provides services in outpatient centers, schools and homes, working closely with parents, physicians and teachers. Our occupational, physical, and speech therapy services, along with feeding and concussion rehabilitation programs, early intervention and school services have helped maximize the potential and improve the lives of thousands of children and their families.

Theraplay added Austill's Educational Therapy Services, to their family of companies in 2016, and brought Positive Steps Therapy and AOT, Inc., based in western Pennsylvania, and the Children's Therapy Center, located in Virginia, into the family in 2017. Theraplay is looking forward to continuing to grow geographically, furthering their mission to maximize each child's potential through functional play-based therapies.
