McGovern Physical Therapy Associates is a physical therapist owned out-patient practice that is the leading provider of physical therapy and sports performance in Massachusetts.
MPTA has provided superior care to thousands of patients since its inception in 2001.
MPTA promotes an innovative and scientific approach to the management, treatment, and prevention of orthopedic and sports injuries. MPTA is constantly improving our patient care through research and outcome studies.

Company History
MPTA was founded on March 15, 2001 by Dr. Kevin McGovern, PT, CSCS. Kevin saw a need to deliver better services to patients. Although reimbursement is the same for each company, Kevin new that all therapists were not the same.
He sought out to create a practice where each therapist can have autonomy as they apply science, innovation, and a little imagination into all patient care.
MPTA was a former winner of the PT Practice of the Year by Advance Magazine and in 2010 was named to the INC 5000 list.
Dr. McGovern has also created Game 7 Sports Training: a medically designed group exercise program. He has also created Velocity RX which will soon revolutionize pitching instruction.
