Northfield Hospital is a new 37-bed hospital located in a vibrant, college town of 20,000. It sits on the southern edge of the major metropolitan area that includes Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Northfield Hospital, its affiliated clinics and its attached long-term care center are owned by the City of Northfield and serve more than 100,000 area residents who live in Rice, Dakota, Scott and Goodhue counties. Our 590 employees offer primary and specialty care, emergency services, including an emergency room with round-the-clock physician staffing; critical care; birthing services; a full complement of skilled surgeons; advanced diagnostic imaging; comprehensive rehabilitation services; chemotherapy; home care and hospice.
Company History
Northfield Hospital has been serving the Northfield community since 1910. It moved to a new facility in 2003 and is currently the anchor of a new integrated health campus, which includes primary care clinics, including a Women’s Health Center, and accommodations for visiting specialists. Northfield Hospital has developed a regional network of FamilyHealth Medical Clinics, now open in Northfield, Lonsdale, Farmington and Lakeville, and is rapidly establishing itself as a regional medical destination. Physician services are provided by a range of premier providers, including Cannon Valley Clinic --- Mayo Health System.
