Company History
Oncology Rehab was founded in 2009 by Julia Osborne, PT, CLT-LANA. Julia has a very diversified physical therapy career. She has practiced in both hospital and outpatient settings in South Africa, England, and the USA. In 2002, Julia received her certification in lymphedema management from the International Dr. Vodder School of Manual Lymph Drainage and became and used this as a foundation to build a comprehensive oncology rehabilitation practice that extends far beyond lymphedema management including oncology post-surgery care, post-radiation care, and rehabilitation during chemotherapy.
Julia is well known for her public speaking at international Oncology Conferences, Cancer Support Groups, and Cancer-based Hospital Systems. She is an affiliate faculty member at Regis University in Denver, CO, where she does instructional and clinical teaching in oncology rehabilitation for the “Doctor of Physical Therapy” program. She has been teaching CEU classes in Oncology Rehabilitation with North American Seminars for 10 years and, in 2014, founded her own institute PORi - www.oncologyrehab.info to teach therapists in the oncology rehabilitation space.
