Progressive Physical Therapy is a private owned outpatient practice providing evidence based rehabilitation care in South-Central Indiana since 1987. Our staff of licensed Physical therapists provides the most current and advanced rehabilitation techniques to ensure the quickest recovery possible for the patient. We are a Certified Rehabilitation Agency and meet strict State and Federal requirements and standards.
Our clinics are conveniently located in Seymour, Columbus, and Greensburg. All clinics are open Monday through Friday and offer appointments for initial evaluations within twenty-four (24) to forty-eight (48) hours. Our facilities are easy to access with ample, close parking.
Company History
Progressive Physical Therapy was started by Belinda Hays, PT, DPT after she graduated from Indiana University with a BS in Physical Therapy in 1981. She practiced in various practice settings in her hometown of Seymour, Indiana including a hospital, nursing homes, and home health. She noticed that it seemed that for many types of complicated cases, the physical therapy would be sent to Indianapolis or Louisville for care. She decided to try to change that and make available to the small, local communities the type of physical therapy care one would expect in a metropolitan area. Thus, Progressive Physical Therapy was born in 1987 in Seymour, Indiana! We moved to our present location in Seymour in 1991. In 1992, we expanded the practice to Columbus, Indiana, and to Greensburg, Indiana in 1993.
Belinda's concept of Progressive Physical Therapy is twofold. Firstly, she wants to offer the best physical and rehabilitation care available to the patients, physicians, and employers in the communities we serve. In doing so, providing exceptional customer service to all is a key aspect! Also key is having a well-trained professional clinical staff and office staff. Secondly, she wants to offer an exceptional work atmosphere to our staff members so they can practice their profession to the best of their ability. The use of state-of-the-art equipment, the availability of continuing education and training, the best use of technology when possible, and a culture that promotes teamwork, excellence and fun are her goals for Progressive Physical Therapy’s staff and patients.
