Sports Therapy And Rehabilitation Physical and Occupational Therapy is a leading edge facility in the heart of New York City. All physical therapists are licensed and trained in the latest treatment techniques. We have Board Certified: Sports Clinical Specialists and Hand Therapists on staff as well as Certified: Manual Therapists and Strength and Conditioning Specialists. Our experience includes affiliations with some of the country's best physicians and hospitals, and we have cared for Olympians and numerous professional athletes: NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB, Tennis and Dance. We treat an international patient population and are versed in the following languages: English, Spanish, Russian, Thai, Cantonese, Mandarin and German.
An individualized approach is important at Sports Therapy And Rehabilitation, and we will customize a treatment program to fit your needs. Our unique 11,000 square foot facilities include Sports Medicine/Orthopedics, a dedicated Hand and Upper Extremity Center and a devoted Spine Center. We utilize state of the art equipment as well as private evaluation and treatment rooms. Customized foot orthotics can be manufactured on-site. In addition, the following special programs are available:
Golf: designed to improve range-of-motion, power and increase distance. A PGA Pro consultation is available
Knee PREP (pre total knee replacement): to ready patients for optimal results from surgery
Ski: designed to prevent common injuries of the knee and hand ("skiers thumb") as well as address soreness
Tennis: to condition and prevent common, often chronic injuries like tennis elbow, shoulder/rotator cuff pain and knee/ankle issues that arise
Post-Rehab Exercise: allow patient's to continue the positive gains they've made while rehabilitating at STAR
