Company Overview
Steppin' Up Physical Therapy was opened in October of 2004 on the Southside of Fort Wayne, IN out of the realization that there were no physical therapy offices that truly offered bilingual services to accommodate the growing Hispanic community. The owner, Jason Hazelett, is fluent in Spanish and has managed to grow a wonderful staff in 2 offices now that can effectively serve both English and Spanish speaking patients (4 of 10 staff members are bilingual).
Our goal first is to love others and be hospitable. Patients don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. We better ourselves through continued education in both clinical skills and human relations.
Steppin' Up PT is privately owned, does not have any outside financial/referral interests, and sees primarily orthopedic patients. There are diverse skills represented at Steppin' Up from Fellowship training in manual therapy, to trigger point dry needling. Once patients have an experience here, they are typically "sold" and begin to refer to our therapists as "My PT." We always have repeat customers on our schedules. This comes from caring for the patient as a whole, not just throwing clinical skills at the problem.
