Company History
A group of pioneering women in Somerville founded the Visiting Nurse Association in 1906, one of only 20 such agencies in the country who’s sole mission was to provide comprehensive, compassionate home care to those in need regardless of their financial circumstance.
For over 110 years the Visiting Nurses have continued that pioneering spirit with the creation of the first ever VNA owned and operated Visiting Nurse Assisted Living Community in 2000, followed by the VNA Senior Living Community in 2009. Our mission now includes providing a safe, dignified and caring home for over 200 residents who simply need a helping hand.
