Winneshiek Medical Center (WMC) is a Critical Access hospital and multi-specialty clinic located in Decorah, Iowa. Our state of the art facility offers services to Decorah and several surrounding communities. Our medical staff includes full-time, board-certified physicians in Family Practice, General Surgery, Audiology, ENT, Internal Medicine, Gynecology, Urology, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Radiology, Pathology and Psychology. WMC provides additional patient care by Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and a Certified Nurse Midwife. We also have several visiting specialties from Mayo Rochester and Franciscan Healthcare seeing patients locally. The hospital provides OB, Med/Surg, Telemetry, Special Care Unit, 24/7 physician coverage in ER, Urgent Care, surgical, radiology, rehab, lab and pathology services.
WMC currently employs approximately 425 allied health staff, we experience approximately 40,000 patient visits in the clinic setting and 60,000 outpatient visits in the hospital setting with 3,000 days of inpatient stay.
