Description
We are looking for a physical therapist with a vast knowledge of neurologic physical therapy and a proven track record of results across numerous diagnoses. As much as we are looking for a skilled clinician, we are also looking for an excellent team member who is passionate about improving the lives of the people we serve. Reporting to our Physical Therapy Director, this new team member will be responsible for treating adults/adolescents with a wide variety of neurologic diagnoses, including spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and others. The role necessitates expert clinical decision-making to ensure successful integration of advanced technologies while maintaining patient safety.
This is a dynamic role that will include cross-functional collaboration with device manufacturers to ensure successful implementation and appropriate research generation in line with both organizations’ goals. Professional interdisciplinary communication and organization are paramount to a prospective candidate’s success.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care
Perform evaluations and treatment sessions to individuals with neurologic diagnoses consistent with state practice acts and professional standards of practice
Implement evidence-based practice, ensuring prioritization of each patient’s goals
Maintain patient safety in all sessions and respond to adverse events appropriately, in any should arise
Appropriately document and bill for sessions in a timely manner
Adhere to compliance and privacy policies to ensure patient safety
Clinical Research
Contribute to ongoing research studies by assisting with patient recruitment/identification of qualified participants
Successfully implement evidence-based outcome measures as part of standard of care practice
Maintain privacy procedures associated with clinical studies when completing sessions
Business Operations
Contribute to weekly and monthly reporting of sessions and quality improvement initiatives
Optimize treatment schedules and processes to improve schedule usage and the overall success of the practice
Collaborate with other team members to assist with the overall function of the practice, including potential collaboration of marketing the practice.
Requirements
Both proactive and rigorous, you have an excellent ability to work within a team and know how to be autonomous and proactive while following the instructions given. You enjoy working on various tasks and have the well-being of your team at heart. You know how to adapt to rapid changes in the order of priority of tasks. You are resourceful, curious and very organized. Finally, you have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Diploma: Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) (or previously required certifications of PT/MSPT); Licensed Physical Therapist (FL)
