Salary range: $75,000 – $90,000

Outpatient Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy Clinic
Position Summary
Celtic Physical Therapy is seeking a motivated, patient-centered Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) to provide exceptional outpatient orthopedic, sports medicine, and wellness-focused care. The ideal candidate will be committed to evidence-based practice, outstanding customer service, and helping patients achieve their highest level of function and performance.
Required Qualifications
Education
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
Eligible for or currently licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of North Carolina.
Certifications
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Valid North Carolina Physical Therapy License.
Experience
New graduates welcome to apply.
Previous outpatient orthopedic or sports medicine experience preferred.
Clinical rotations in orthopedic, sports medicine, or manual therapy settings preferred.
Essential Clinical Skills
Orthopedic Evaluation & Treatment
Perform comprehensive orthopedic examinations.
Develop individualized plans of care.
Utilize evidence-based treatment interventions.
Progress patients appropriately toward functional goals.
Assess and treat:Spine disorders
Shoulder injuries
Hip conditions
Knee injuries
Foot and ankle conditions
Post-operative patients
Balance and vestibular disorders
Chronic pain conditions
Sports Medicine
Evaluate and treat recreational and competitive athletes.
Design return-to-sport rehabilitation programs.
Conduct movement assessments and injury prevention screenings.
Develop strength and conditioning progressions.
Manual Therapy
Preferred experience with:
Joint mobilization/manipulation
Soft tissue mobilization
Myofascial release
Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM)
Cupping therapy
Blood flow restriction (BFR) training
Dry Needling (Preferred)
Certification in Functional Dry Needling or willingness to obtain certification within first year of employment.
Therapeutic Exercise
Design individualized exercise programs.
Progress strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional training programs.
Educate patients on home exercise compliance.
Patient Care Responsibilities
Caseload Management
Manage daily patient schedule efficiently.
Complete evaluations and re-evaluations.
Document treatment sessions accurately and timely.
Maintain compliance with payer and regulatory requirements.
Patient Education
Explain diagnoses and treatment plans clearly.
Provide injury prevention education.
Promote long-term wellness and fitness strategies.
Outcome Tracking
Utilize functional outcome measures.
Monitor patient progress.
Modify treatment plans as necessary.
Documentation Requirements
Complete evaluations within company timelines.
Complete daily treatment notes.
Complete progress notes and discharge summaries.
Maintain compliance with:Medicare regulations
Commercial insurance requirements
North Carolina Physical Therapy Practice Act
HIPAA standards

Assist with student clinical education when appropriate.

Preferred Certifications
Candidates possessing one or more of the following certifications are highly desirable:
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
Sports Certified Specialist (SCS)
Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS)
Dry Needling Certification
Blood Flow Restriction Certification
Vestibular Rehabilitation Training
Titleist Performance Institute (TPI)
Functional Movement Screen (FMS)

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
